Governor’s Office on Service & Volunteerism, 25th Anniversary Volunteer Service Awards - Nominations Due March 3rd

Nominations are being accepted in a number of individual and group categories for recognition of volunteer service at an awards presentation during National Volunteer Week–April 27-May 3, 2008. Selection criteria include: Outstanding volunteer service; Positive influence that addresses a problem or enhances the quality of life in Maryland; Acts of generosity and kindness; and Emphasis of service during calendar year 2007. A nomination form with a supporting narrative of less than 500 words is due by March 3, and is downloadable from www.gosv.state.md.us which includes additional information about the awards.
