Volunteer Project Hall of Fame Celebration

November 20, 2008

This year's Volunteer Project Hall of Fame Celebration and Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Annapolis. This event, sponsored by the Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County and the Coordinators of Volunteers of Anne Arundel County (COVAAC), will begin at 11:30 am at Phillips Annapolis Harbor Restaurant, 12 Dock Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.

The Honorable Franklin M. Johnson, Jr., Chairman of the Governor's Commission on Service and Volunteerism and the Mayor of Mt. Airy, MD, will be The Keynote Speaker celebrating this year's inductees into the Volunteer Project Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame Awards are dedicated to celebrating and exploring the successful volunteer projects/programs that have impacted our community and made a difference in our lives. Inductees will include volunteer projects sponsored by local nonprofit organizations, businesses, faith-based and governmental agencies.

The event will also include a select silent auction to benefit the Volunteer Center and COVAAC.

Businesses and organizations from throughout the county are invited to bring their staff, board members, and volunteers to the induction lunch. Reservations are $30.00 each.
